First Baptist Church Rockville is looking for an accomplished pianist to assist with our weekly worship activities.
Objective: To support the congregation’s worship of God by accompanying the choir, hymn singing, solo’s, and ensembles in the weekly worship environment. To lead the congregation in worship through playing periodic piano solos for offertory, prelude, postlude, communion, and meditations.
Expectations:
• Accompany the choir at weekly, Wednesday rehearsals and periodic special Saturday rehearsals (2-3 per year)
• Assist with accompanying the Sunday corporate worship at the traditional service (11:00 am)
• Accompany the choir, ensembles, and soloists as needed during the Sunday worship service.
• Prepare and present solo pieces for worship periodically. This could include preludes, postludes, offertories, meditations, etc.
• Periodically accompany soloists and ensembles.
