PERSONAL STATEMENT
In 1995, I had a son out of wedlock. Growing up in California, without a Christian influence in my life, I did not see anything wrong with this. But after my son was born his mother left me for her old boyfriend. Brokenness led me to share my pain with a customer at the 7-11 I worked at and she led me to the hope that I still cling to today – Jesus Christ. Over these past 13 years, God has given me a passion to share the Gospel and minister to many other broken and hurting people. He has also given me a passion to see families grow closer in their relationships with God and each other. This is first, and best, demonstrated in my own family. I am fiercely committed to God first, my family second, and then the church. I also have a heart for missions, both here and abroad. I want to see God’s people become a force to be reckoned with in our families, our culture, and our world.
