To Whom It May Concern:

We have a ministry position that we need to fill by August 2008. It is a combination position of Christian school teacher and Youth Minister. A teaching certificate is not required. The person would serve as a seventh and eighth grade teacher in our church school, Elvaton Christian Academy, September through May (school hours are from 8 am to 4 pm five days a week) and he or she would also serve as part time Youth Minister doing ministry at night and on weekends during the school year and ministering full time during the summer. We are looking for a mature Christian who has completed his or her bachelor’s degree and who has a strong sense of God’s calling to the Gospel ministry through teaching and youth ministry. The salary would be full-time and commensurate with education and experience.

Elvaton Church is committed to fulfilling the great Commission and the great commandment. Our average worship attendance is 130. We are a Southern Baptist Church started in 1972. We have a good spirit of unity and love and we are working to reach our community for Christ. We are located in the strategic area of the Baltimore/Washington D. C. corridor. There is a great opportunity to reach people for Christ since sixty percent of the people in this area are unchurched.

Elvaton Christian Academy is a ministry of Elvaton Church and was started in 1995. We have an early education preschool that covers two year olds through four year olds and our elementary school covers kindergarten through eighth grade. We limit our class size to 15 students and have a hundred plus students enrolled at present. We accept students from none Christian homes and we are reaching students from all over our community which makes us an important evangelistic outreach of the church. We use mainly ABeka curriculum.

As a member of the staff of Elvaton Church and Elvaton Christian Academy, he or she would be a part of a warm caring Christian family. We seek to encourage each member of the staff to grow in his or her relationship with Christ and to develop close relationships with each other.

We would greatly appreciate it, if you would send us the resume of any individual that might fit this description, to my attention at the address above.

Sincerely in Christ,

Pastor Bill Brazell
